COSMINC, Inc. seek to establish community outreach programs that provide spiritual, emotional, and social support for those who are unable to support and sustain themselves. An individual’s value and quality of life is paramount to our vision, as we seek to not only touch the lives of the clients we serve, but also to better the community as a whole and further our mission.
Partnering with at risk-youth in our community in order to develop within them leadership skills through education, community awareness, and self-awareness.
The Steps to Leadership Program will provide tutoring services, community service opportunities, and personal growth for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17. We meet this goal through structured discussions and a community involvement, which will assist our clients with their personal growth as they transition into adulthood. The Steps to Leadership Program provides a safe environment with active supervision and guidance from our professional staff. Discussion groups facilitated by our staff will allow clients to build self-esteem, social and communication skills, while aiding them to function appropriately within society. Overall, COSMINC's Steps to Leadership Program provides our clients with a well-rounded experience, which enables them to move forward into society.
COSMINC, Inc. has developed a Leadership Development program that will use education, community awareness, and self-awareness to assist Today’s youth in maturing into productive leaders of our community.
During a time when city-wide budget cuts have forced after-school programs to become a thing of the past, COSMINC, Inc. is providing a positive avenue for your child to become involved in their community and become successful in their future.
Steps to Leadership begins with a focus on education. Through our mentoring services, skilled tutors will assist participants in achieving academic success. It is through education that our children can ensure their success in the future. Steps to Leadership will also incorporate educational outings & career presentation from local businesses.
Self-esteem, confidence, and awareness goes a long way in a reaffirming an individuals self-worth and well-being. Through open discussion forums on topics that effect the day-to day lives of today’s youth, we will develop dialogue that will assist our participants in understanding themselves and those around them.
Steps to Leadership’s final focus is on community awareness. In order for an individual to want to do for their community, they have to feel a sense of ownership to it first. COSMINC, Inc. will provide participants with an opportunity for 35 hours of community service hours. An understanding of their role within their community will be reinforced for those individuals that chose to take part of our Mentoring Services as well.
